Backcrossing

Abbreviation BX. A common practice in cannabis breeding where a plant is crossed with a genetically identical clone of itself or one of its parents inbred virtually. This is done to enhance certain genetic characteristics of the given cannabis strain, such as taste, aroma, potency, yield or resistance to mould.
