From the mountains of the American west coast

Around the American mountains of Oregon and California, a team of the finest cannabis connoisseurs were busy working on new strains that would prove to be the basis for all the North American varieties of marijuana we know today.

On the team was a legendary grower who crossed several Thailand races, Thai hybrids and an Afghan type that had been there since the 80s. The end result of these crosses and cultivation through hundreds, even thousands, of seeds was of one of the best known varieties smoked today, the Blueberry.

Genes from California

Straight from the genetic melting pot of California/Oregon we found the wonderful marijuana strain, which we developed into a feminised seed to create Blue Mystic. This Indica-dominated plant doesn’t have many shoots, doesn’t stretch much and grows almost like a bonsai or broccoli. It only grows just over a metre tall, but our advice to growers is to cut it back and take the top off the plant to get a bushier plant.

Well suited to the Mediterranean climate

Since the plant will not grow vertically, it makes sense to cut the plant towards the sides to achieve a better yield. We also recommend a longer than normal growing period with Blue Mystic – again to ensure a high yield. Normally it yields 55-65 grams per plant indoors.

On average, it is about 400-500 grams per square meter under a 600W light. Outdoors it needs the warmth of the Mediterranean or California, and in northern Europe it doesn’t do well.

Blue Mystic Feminized is ready to harvest after 8 weeks, giving it a lively sweet taste of fresh fruit. If left a little longer (up to 10 weeks), it will lose its flavour, but then give back with a heavier effect to become stoned. As always, we recommend drying your plants before tending to the buds, but this recommendation is especially true for Blue Mystic to bring out its full flavour.

Sweet and refreshing

If correctly perceived, the taste of Blue Mystic should be so sweet and refreshing that the smoker gets the same sensation as the taste of juice. This intense flavour is given a run for its money by the super-potent Indica stone experience, which leaves the user unable to do anything purely physical.
